Eliminating Drug Menace And Illegal Liquor Would Be Top On Agenda-SSP Satinder Singh

Taking over as SSP Jalandhar Rural, a dynamic Punjab Police Officer Mr Satinder Singh asserted that his top priority would be making all out efforts to wipe out the menace of drug abuse and illegal liquor from rural belt of the district.Mr Satinder Singh, who joined the Punjab Police in 1990 as Inspector, has earlier served as SSP at Kapurthala, Khanna, SBS Nagar. After assuming charge at Jalandhar on Saturday, Satinder said that eliminating the drug menace and illegal liquor would be major focus for which he also sought cooperation public. Mr Singh pointed out that drive against drugs and illegal liquor would be further intensified with a thrust to completely wiping out the menace. He said that concerted efforts would be further made to strengthen the rural rapid response teams to keep check on anti-social elements in the villages. Apart from this, ensuring the welfare of police staff who are tirelessly working round the clock in this unprecedented COVID crisis would also be his top priority. He also announced that new initiatives would be taken to ensure the well being of the Police force and their family members. 

He also appreciated 24 cops of Rural Police who recovered from Covid-19 and pledged to donate plasma to help others in fighting the pandemic. He said that Public dealing at the Police stations would be further made easy and timely solution of their issues be ensured. He also said that requisite focus would be laid on good, responsive and transparent Policing for which feedback would also be taken from the general public.Mr. Singh also said that he would study all the crucial issues faced by the people to adress all these in a time bound manner. SSP further said that  exemplary action would be taken against those who would be indulging in illegal activities. Earlier, SSP took salute from guard of honor given by the Punjab Police on reaching the office. Later he had held detailed deliberations with the senior officers and Station House Officers, heads of various investigation wings.On the occasion, SPs Mr Ravi Kumar, Mr Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu, Mr Sarbjeet Singh Bahia, DSPs Mr Sarbjeet Rai, Mr Ranjeet Singh, Mr Jaspreet Singh, Mr Surinder Pal, Mr Varinder Pal Singh, Mr Navneet Singh, Mr Harinder Singh, Mr Parminder Singh and others welcomed the SSP.
