DDC Baramulla takes stock of widening of National Highway

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the pace and position of the road widening of Narbal-Uri stretch of National Highway.The road widening plan of National Highway comprises 4 lanning of Narbal-Baramulla stretch and 2 lanning of Baramulla-Uri stretch besides the proposal also contains two bypasses at Pattan upto Palhallan and at Kanispora from Kanispora to Khanpora.On the occasion, DDC took a detailed appraisal of various aspects during which it was informed that the joint survey has already been completed by BRO and Revenue authorities.It was further informed that preliminary revenue papers as per the requisite alignment and other necessities have also been completed by the concerned authorities.Speaking on the occasion, DDC exhorted upon the concerned agencies to speed up the pace of work and sort out bottlenecks if any, so that work is completed within the specific time period.He also directed the concerned to work in coordination and stressed to mobilize additional men and machinery for achieving desired results.Moreover the DDC emphasized upon the concerned to strictly adhere to SOPs and guidelines pertaining to COVID-19, especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing at the project and working sites to avert any kind of eventuality.
