DDC Ramban reviews progress under District Capex Budget 2020-21

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today reviewed the performance and implementation of  various schemes taken-up under district Capex budget 2020-21, here at a meeting.The meeting reviewed physical and financial achievements made by RDD, Health, ICDS, Education, Jal Shakti Department (JSD), PWD, Youth  services and Sports department, Municipal Committees (MC) and NRLM.Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal, Xen PWD, Xen, JSD, CEO, CMO and various officers of concerned departments attended the meeting.The DDC directed the officers to expedite the execution of development works to achieve targets set under Capex budget 2020-21 besides ensuring  E-Tendering, Technical Sanction, AAA, per and post photographs of the approved projects.While discussing the expenditure restriction guidelines in view of COIVD19 pandemic issued by the Finance Department, the DDC directed the officers  that the expenditure under Capex Budget in respect of ongoing and non construction activities shall be restricted upto 40% of the budget estimate  2020-21 by the ending September, 2020.He said that in case of PWD (R&B), RDD, JSD and PDD can incur expenditure upto 50% of budget estimate  2020-21 by the ending  September, 2020  and also permitted to initiate works within full budget approved for the financial year 2020-21.He further directed the officers to simultaneously ensure development activities as well as implementation of preventative measures prescribed by the  authorities in SOP to prevent COVID-19 for achieving the targets in the development sector amid world pandemic.He also directed the concerned officers to convene fortnightly meetings of engineers and other field functionaries to review progress of development  works of their respective departments besides ensuring attendance of the employees in their offices as well as field to improve public service delivery  in the district.
