Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said here today that COVID-19 pandemic has come up as a big challenge to education sector but the state government has made systematic arrangements so that the students could continue their studies.He said that the new era of online system has changed the learning system, which will help all to deal with such situations in future and take education to new heights. He said that due to tough geographical conditions, providing education facility in remote areas of the state itself is a challenging task which has been successfully handled by the state government. Due to lockdown, the government has started "Himachal Doordarshan Gyanshala" for the students of 10th and 12th standards being telecast on Doordarshan from 10 AM to 1 PM.  Besides, 'Learning From Home- Har Ghar Pathshala', programme has also been started for students of 9th , 10th  and 12th  classes through internet. Suresh Bhardwaj said that with the cooperation of parents, teachers and students, the state government has succeeded in maintaining the education system effectively. Parents are getting more time to spend with their children, which they can utilize for their overall development.
