Governor Bandaru Dattatraya interacted with industrial representatives of Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority (BBNDA) through video conference, today to enquire about the problems being faced by them in executing industrial activities in the lockdown in wake of COVID-19.  He also thanked them for their cooperation in the development of the State.He said industrial units have contributed a lot and supported the government's efforts by helping the labourers in providing food and other facilities in this time of crisis. “Today, we are celebrating 'Employee Safety and Health Day', and in this perspective, more attention is needed on health security. Also, special attention should be paid to the safety of workers”, said the Governor. He expressed satisfaction that the guidelines issued by the government of India and the state government from time to time were being followed in the industrial areas. He stressed the need to work on short term and long term measures so that the economic activities could also be maintained.

The Governor said that the state government was providing all possible relief to the industrial units for their smooth working. He appreciated the efforts of Baddi administration in this direction. He insisted on maintaining social distance, using masks and following the instructions of sanitization on the campus. He appealed to keep complete details of the health and travel history of every worker and urged them not to curtail the strength of employees in the units in this hour of crisis.Chief Executive Officer of BBNDA Vinod Kumar apprised the Governor that about 500 industrial units were operational in the area and about 23000 workers were working in the units. The administration was extending all possible support to the workers including the units, he added.The Industrial representatives thanked the state government for giving them full cooperation.  They also apprised the Governor about their problems.Secretary to the Governor Rakesh Kanwar was also present on the occasion.
