In a unique gesture renowned confectionary company Parle Biscuits, Mumbai today handed over 50,000 packets of Parle –G Biscuits to Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Navjot Singh Mahal for distributing them amongst the cops on curfew duty to keep a check on Covid 19.Mr. Amrinder Singh Dhiman of Dhiman Foods (pvt.) Ltd. Nakodar handed over 50,000 plus packets of Parle-G biscuits on behalf of Parle Biscuits (Pvt.) Ltd., Mumbai to the Senior Superintendent of Police. He said that this one was one of their consignments of pledge to donate over three crores of packets all over India in this Global Pandemic. Mr. Dhiman said that Parle biscuits realize its responsibility well in this hour of crisis due to they have decided to disburse these packets.Welcoming the nice gesture the Senior Superintendent of Police said that this was humanitarian gesture on the part of the Parle biscuits. He said that around 1000 cops of the Jalandhar (Rural) Police were on 24X7 curfew duty to combat corona Virus effectively. Mr. Mahal said that this would him in boosting the morale of cops on duty.The Senior Superintendent of Police said that besides distributing these biscuits amongst the cops the biscuits would also be disbursed amongst the needy people as the Police was fully sensitive towards its role for the weaker and underprivileged strata of society. He said that in order to ensure that cops get nutrient rich diet during this stressful duty, they have been already providing chicken to the cops. Likewise, Mr. Mahal said that fruits were also being given to the cops so that there fitness level was maintained during the duty.On the occasion Superintendent of Police Mr. RPS Sandhu, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Kulwinder Singh and Mr. Jaspreet Singh
