Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mansa Dr Narinder Bhargav on Tuesday, called upon the youth clubs of the Mansa district to start a safe fight against the Corona pandemic (COVID-19).During a meeting with members of various youth clubs through Zoom app, SSP Mansa said that everyone has been passing through a very crucial phase amid the COVID-19, which has emerged as the serious danger to the whole mankind. He said that at this time they can only prevent the spread of the disease, which spreads human to human. He asked the youth clubs to come forward to put their every effort in controlling this disease. He said that as per the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh and Director General of Police Punjab Dinkar Gupta, the Police administration is committed to winning this war against COVID-19 by working as a team and providing every kind of help to the needy persons at ground level, which is only possible with the help of the public.He said that the performance of the Youth Clubs in rural areas remained appreciable in the past and the present time also and it demands their same spirit of help to save mankind. He said that on the one side Coronavirus is trying to spread in Punjab and on the other side, cultivation and marketing of wheat crop is due in the forthcoming days. As such, the Youth Clubs should prepare all their members to come out for the help of administration, the general public and farmers.Deputy Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Punjab Surinder Singh Saini apprised the SSP that the Youth clubs have been sincerely working in the rural areas of Punjab in awakening the public about the COVID-19, curfew and are helping the Village Police Officers (VPOs) deployed by the Police administration in the villages. He advised members of the youth clubs to download the Arogya Setu and Diksha apps in their mobile phones, which have been proving very useful to fight against COVID-19 pandemic.Meanwhile, District Coordinator Paramjeet Kaur Sohal, Nodal Officer Sandeep Ghand and Raghveer Singh Mann of Nehru Yuva Kendra said that the Youth Clubs are working very well in their respective areas and these clubs will also give their best services in controlling the spread of COVID-19 and in respect of harvesting and marketing of wheat crop also.
