Coronavirus: Mansa police mull free extra-curricular online classes for students

With an aim to keep the students busy in their preponed summer vacations, the district police led by Senior Superintendent of Police (Mansa) Dr Narinder Bhargav to provide free extra-curricular online classes to students of different age groups.Dr Bhargav said that these courses will not only help to keep students busy during the lockdown but also develop positive and progressive thoughts in their minds.As per the information, the district police has initiated the Steam Workshop for students at free of cost on daily basis in collaboration with Delhi based organisation, which will deliver lectures to the students using different online applications.SSP said that keeping preponed summer vacations, announced by the Punjab Government in the mind, regular online sessions of extracurricular activities will be carried out by the staff of Police Public School Mansa free of cost in the coming days.SSP said that through Village/Ward Police officers in their respective areas, there was a feedback that the young kids have ample spare time even after finishing their online studies and they need something extra than the curriculum education. He said that there will be separate timings of these online extracurricular activities for the students of separate age groups such as the timings for the students of 6 to 9 year's age group would be 11 to 11.40 am and for the students of 9 to 12 years age group will be 12 noon to 12.40 pm.Meanwhile, Mansa police had earlier delivered curriculum books to students at their doorstep.
