District Magistrate, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer, today chaired a meeting to review the ongoing activities to mitigate the challenges to abate Covid 19 Pandemic in the District.The meeting was attended by ADCs Pulwama, Tral, Awantipora, SP Pulwama, Chief Medical Officer and other concerned officers and officials.During the meeting threadbare discussion was held regarding implementation of government advisories and directions issued with regards to COVID-19. The meeting also discussed functioning of Health surveillance and screening teams, village level containment and surveillance teams, IEC activities and other precautionary measures taken by the administration for the containment of the pandemic.While reviewing the functioning of surveillance teams, DM said that need of the hour is to mobilize surveillance teams to ensure contact tracing,  screening  and identification of travel history of the suspects. He asked heads of surveillance teams to keep check on every suspect and take necessary action and home quarantine them, if needed.  He further instructed the surveillance teams to intensify checking in their respective areas to trace the persons having travel history or any Covid-19 symptom.He directed concerned officers and officials to act in an efficient manner and stressed for remaining vigilant and to keep the up-to-date information ready.He said that no laxity on this count will be tolerated and  FIR will be filed against the officials who will show dereliction in their   assigned duties .The feedback was also sought from the surveillance teams about functioning, issues and challenges faced by them , if any, which need to be taken care of.
