The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama, Mohammad Altaf Khan today kick-started pneumococcal vaccine drive for babies at Mohammadiya Nursing Home Gangoo here.On the occasion, the ADC said the pneumococcal vaccine is used to treat pneumonia in children and is effective and long-lasting protection for children against pneumococcal diseases. He said it is a significant public health care which ensures that children are protected better against pneumococcal disease with an affordable and high-quality vaccine.The Deputy Chief Medical Officer, District Immunization Officer, other medical and paramedical staff was present on the occasion.
