"There is no need to panic from the corona virus as the District Administration is taking all the necessary measures to safeguard people from the disease besides sensitizing them to observe precautions." These views were expressed here today by the officiating DC Mrs. Aashika Jain while presiding over a meeting regarding the tackling of the corona virus.The DC further said that till date no positive case of corona virus has been reported in Punjab. She also said that the rumour mongers spreading false rumours in this regard would be strictly proceeded against. Furthermore, National Helpline 104 is operational while in respect of the S.A.S.Nagar District, Dr. Harman (District Epidemologist) (9876733423) has been made the Nodal Officer. The DC also divulged that the treatment is totally free.The DC instructed all the officials and employees of various departments that if any person having symptoms of fever, cough, running nose, difficulty in breathing then should report to and consult medical experts. They were further advised to adopt precautions. She also directed the concerned authorities to provide Sanitizers at reception desks and sensitize all the employees. The DC also instructed the officials to paste DOs and DONTs at reception desks of the offices and to sensitize all the visitors also.
