Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma today convened a meeting with concerned officers to assess precautionary measures being initiated to detect and prevent the spread of corona virus.The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan; Principal GMC Jammu, Director Health services; senior Doctors; besides representatives of private hospitals, clinics, hoteliers and other concerned.The government has made arrangements for screening of passengers and tourists at Jammu airport and Lakhanpur   Help desks have also been established at these places with adequate number of doctors, the meeting was told.The Div Com asked the concerned to take every possible measure for proper screening of the passengers coming from corona affected countries.Calling for effective precautions, he said the person showing any symptoms of during screening be immediately shifted to isolated wards or send to quarantine.The Div Com urged members of hotel associations to share the details of suspected visitors on regular basis.  They were also asked to inquire the travelling history of every visitor/Tourists before allowing rooms to them.The representatives of private hospitals were asked for providing medical equipments, if any emergency situation creates.  The representatives extend their full support to administration for the same.He also directed the concerned to establish isolated wards for persons with any symptom. Directions were also issued for stocking of masks, medicines and equipments.
