Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today met the delegations of West Pakistan Refugees, Displaced Persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 and listened to their issues. Deputy Commissioner Samba, Officials from District Administration Jammu, Samba and Kathua, representatives of the WPRs, Displaced Persons were present.
The members of the delegations put forth their issues pertaining to inclusion and verification of left out eligible families of Displaced Persons and West Pakistani Refugees for Financial Assistance Scheme.
The Div Com gave a patient hearing to all the concerns and issues of the members of the delegation. The Div Com issued directions to the officials of concerned district administrations for resolving the issues of WPRs and DPs from their end.
The Div Com emphasized on the concerned officials to implement the Scheme in its letter and spirit. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to issue necessary documents after conducting camp inquiry through Tehsildars.
