Patiala Polo and Riding Club on Wednesday witnessed a Polo exhibition match, organized as a part of the Patiala Heritage Festival-2020 being held at Patiala. The nail-biting match between Bahadur Garh and Qila Mubark received thunderous applause from the audience as they enjoyed its every moment. Bahadur Garh dominated all the chukkars and won the match by 7-5 from Quila Mubarak.Member Parliament Mrs. Preneet Kaur was the Chief Guest and MLA Gurkirat Singh, Himat Singh Kahlon, DC Kumar Amit, MCC Poonamdeep Kaur and Other prominent personalities were also present at the function.MP Patiala Mrs Preneet Kaur  said that Patiala Heritage Festival is a great initiative of Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and , Department of Cultural Affairs & Tourism, Patiala District Administration in collaboration with the Indian Trust for Rural Heritage and Development.Bahadur Garh ably led by Arjuna Awardee World Cup player Colonel Ravi Rathore dominated all the Chukkars and won the match by 7-5. Both teams played well in first three Chukkars but in the third Chukkar, Colonel Ravi Rathore scored the fourth and fifth goal and kept Qula Bahadur Garh under pressure in last two Chukkars blocking their every effort to score the goal.  

In the first Chukkar Bahadur Garh controlled the game in their favour with first goal by Col NS Sandhu but but by the third Chukker (round) both teams equalized with 3 goals each. By this time, Bahadur Garh team with Colonel Ravi Rathore was star performer who scored more goals. By the time third Chukkar finished, Patiala Chargers led by Colonel N.S. Sandhu scored two goals with the third goal being scored by Capt. Raghav Raj But in the last two Chukkars Patiala Chargers couldn’t s score any goal losing match to Patiala Raiders.Horse Riders of PPS Nabha Jawans of 61 cavalries showed their horsemanship skill that included Standing Salute Lance Peg, Triple Tent Pegging, Indian File, Hanky Picking and Trick Tent Pegging.Bahadurgarh team comprised of Mr. Rohan Saharan, Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Dafedar Vijay with Colonel Ravi Rathore whereas Qila Bahadurgarh team consisted of Mr. Rajesh Sehgal, Mr. Gurpal Singh Sandhu, Mr. Jai Shergill with Colonel N.S. Sandhu holding the back .Col Manoj Devan and Lieutenant Colonel Prateek Mishra were the umpires and Col RS Brar effectively performed the technical task of the referee and commentary by Col Shakti Rathore.Prominent among those present during the occasion included  Capt Amarjit Singh Jeji, DC Kumar Amit, MCC Punamdeep Kaur, students, NCC cadets and family members of military personals and other citizens.
