Amidst cold weather, huge number of devotees thronged to watch the historic Light and Sound Show—showcasing the life and philosophy of the First Sikh Guru- Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Ranjit  Avenue on Sunday evening. The Light and Sound Show was organized as a part of ongoing celebrations dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.Cabinet Minister O P Soni and other Prominent across the district also bathed in Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's divine glow and spiritual splendour. He said that these spectacular shows organised by the Punjab Government will help to spread the message of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji among the young generation.The audience was disseminated with the message of strengthening the ethos of communal harmony, peace, brotherhood, compassion and humanity as preached by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The mesmerised audience bathed in Guru Sahib’s glory as the light and sound show beautifully projected his philosophy in the form of his universal message to our society.Through the show, the ethos of tolerance, peace, communal harmony, women empowerment and protection of natural resources were brought alive. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's efforts to promote social equality were also aptly showcased to the audience in right letter and spirit.Talking on the occasion, Mr. Soni said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is celebrating 550th Parkash Purab on the grand scale and spreading the message of Great Guru 'Work Hard, Chant God's Name and Share the Earnings' among the people.The light and sound shows will continue to enthral the audience tomorrow February 10 here from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm and from 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Himanshu Agarwal  urged the people to join these shows on Monday evening.
