Minister for Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Gurpreet Singh Kangar dedicated newly built sprawling 33 acres Central Park to the people of Mansa today. Appreciating the hard work of Deputy Commissioner Mansa Mrs Apneet Riyait and her team in converting this erstwhile place filled with heaps of garbage into major attraction of Mansa, the Minister Mr Kangar announced that park will be named at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Central Park dedicated to 550 years of birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.He said that the Central Park is in sync with the idea of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's Mission Tandarust Punjab ensuring best health for people of state.  He added that with such a beautiful park, Punjab government has reiterated its commitment towards development of Mansa.Speaking at the event Deputy Commissioner Mansa Mrs Apneet Riyait said that the park has been long pending need of the people of area, especially sports persons who did not have a swimming pool to practice. She especially thanked the untiring efforts of project head Avtar Singh Natt, supervisor Harpinder, Arshdeep Singh, Kanwar, Mohan and others who have worked hard to dedicate this park to the people of Mansa. 

She added that the park has a swimming pool, rain dance lights, musical fountain, one basketball and two badminton courts, yoga huts, kids play zone, 1.5 km long walking and cycling tracks, open gym and open air theatre dedicated to the doyen of Punjabi playwright Ajmer Singh Aulakh with sound system. The park has grass in 5 lacs square feet area, small and medium plants in 90000 square feet land besides public benches and utilities. He also flagged off tracktors and rehri rickshaws meant for door to door collection in houses under nagar council Mansa.MLA Najar Singh Manshahia, Senior Congress leader Mr Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, Michael Gagowal, nagar council Mansa president Mandeep Gora, ADC (G) Mr Rajdeep Singh Brar, ADC (D) Mr Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, Assistant Commissioner General Mr Navdeep Kumar who also has charge of SDM Mansa, SDM Sardulgarh Mr Rajpal Singh, SP Mr Kuldip Singh Sohi, DDPO Mr Dinesh Vashisht, Civil Surgeon Dr Lal Chand Thakral, Ram Singh vice chairman Safai Karamchari Commission Punjab, CEO and Whole time director of Talwandi Sabo Power Limited Mr Vikas Sharma and others were also present.
