District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with Revenue Department today organized a daylong seminar on ‘Inheritance Rights of Women’ under District Action Plan, 2019-20 of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP).The programme was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmed Mir and attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Riyaz Ahmed Beigh, Tehsildar Bandipora Rouf Iqbal and District Information Officer Bandipora Jahangeer Akhoon besides employees from various departments.Speaking on the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora said that awareness regarding inheritance rights of women is need of the hour. He said it is important to aware women folk regarding rights to established balance society and it is our collective responsibility to empower women at every stage of life. He said BBBP proved fruitful in generating mass awareness regarding the importance of women in a balanced society and their contribution in the development of a strong nation.On the occasion revenue officials also threw light on transfer of property right of women. They stressed on the role of revenue department in empowering the women at grass root level.
