DC inaugurates free coaching classes for girls under BBBP

Deputy Commissioner Sangur  Ghanshyam Thori inaugurated the first batch of as many as 70 girl students for free coaching of competitive exams under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme here at District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) inside district administrative complex. After the inauguration, DC informed that the duration of this course will be four months and the administration will also provide books and other study material to the students. He said that the administration has hired a reputed professional coaching institute which is charging around Rs. 17,000 in the market for the same coaching.While interacting with the girl students, Mr. Ghanshyam Thori said that the objective of this free coaching is to provide coaching of good quality to the girls to enable them to appear in competitive examinations and succeed in obtaining an appropriate job. He added that it would also help to create their own identity in the society which would also help to motivate other parents to educate their girls for better future. He said that every possible help will be given to these girl students for obtaining the job as online test series, study material and books will also be given to the students. He informed that a support card will also be issued to the girl students which would enable them to attend doubt clearing sessions for lifetime. Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is also committed for the safety and security of the girls as various initiatives and drives are being taken in Sangrur. He appealed the district residents to take firm stand against gender determination by providing quality education to their daughters which would help them to achieve success in the future.
