Advisors, CS meet Real Kashmir FC ahead of I-League

Ahead of the I-League football tournament commencing from the 3rd week of November, the Advisors to the Governor and Chief Secretary, B.V.R Subramanyam met the members of the Real Kashmir Football Club and wished them good luck.The Advisors who were present on the occasion included K. Vijay Kumar, K. Skandan, Khursheed Ahmad Ganai and Farooq Khan. Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh and Director Information Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar were also present at the meet. The meet was organised to encourage the players and boost the sports culture in the state.Advisor Farooq Ahmad Khan welcomed all the players and termed them the real ambassadors of the state. He said, "Sports is the best antidote against the drug abuse". He desired that all the youth should take part in some sort of sports activity. He said that this would help them in channeling their energies in a much positive and productive manner. Advisor K. Vijay Kumar emphasised that every sports person is the best example to emulate and Real Kashmir is the platform to showcase the talent in real terms.Chief Secretary assured the players that government is committed to provide every kind of support to the players in pursuit of excellence in sports arena. He said that dedicated schemes have been devised nation-wide to nurture the talent of youngsters. All the players were introduced to the Advisors by the team management. The players and management of the club paid their gratitude to the Government for organizing this event and assured of giving their best in the competition ahead.
