Governor of Himachal Pradesh Bandaru Dattatraya said that we all are Indians and unity and integrity is our identity which should be protected at all cost. It is our duty to cooperate and contribute significantly in the development of the nation.The Governor was speaking in a felicitation function organized by the people of Yadadri Bhongir area in the honour of Bandaru Dattatraya at Bhongir, today. He said that he had served this area for many years in various positions, but now he has got a big responsibility to work within the scope of the constitution. He thanked the President, Prime Minister and Home Minister for giving him the responsibility as a Governor of Himachal Pradesh.On the occasion B. Narsai Gaur, former MP welcomed the Governor and honoured him and said that Dattatraya has deep attachments with the people of this area and he had worked selflessly for decades, for the benefit of the people around here. He said that it was a proud moment for us that he was the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier, the Governor was visited by a large number of people at Ramnagar in his residence at Musheerabad and congratulated him on becoming the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.Speaking to the media on the occasion, the Governor said that it was an honour for the people of Telangana to see him as the Governor of Himachal. "The love and support of the people has led me to this place", for which he thanked the people.Later, the Governor also visited famous Yadagiri Gutta temple and paid his obeisance. Deputy Commissioner Ramchandren welcomed him. He said that Himachal also has many world famous tourist destinations including many holy shrines such as Mata Chintpurni, Jawalaji, Naina Devi, Brijeshwari Devi, Mata Chamunda etc. where crores of people come to visit every year. These include millions of foreign tourists, he added. He invited them to visit in the State.
