The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur decided to open government polytechnic institute at Dalash in Ani area of Kullu district. As many as 97 posts of different categories will be created and filled up to manage this institute.It decided to open a Sub-Employment office at Bangana in Una district along-with creation and filling up of four posts to facilitate the youth of the area.The decision was taken to abolish Primary Health Centre Bhuntar and merge it with Community Health Centre Tegubehar to upgrade it to 50 bedded Civil Hospital. It was also decided to create seven posts of different categories for this hospital.It also gave its nod to fill up one post each of Assistant Professor in Pathology, Neurology and Radiology departments of IGMCH, Shimla by direct recruitment through State Public Service Commission on regular basis.The Cabinet approved to create and fill up 27 posts of Programme Officers and two posts of Medical Officers in Health and Family Welfare Department.It was approved to create and fill up  50 posts of teaching and non teaching staff through direct recruitment on contract basis for newly opened Eklavya Aadarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya in tribal areas of Bharmour, Pangi and Lahaul.

The Cabinet gave its nod to create four posts of steno typists to be filled up by direct recruitment on contract basis and four posts of peons to be filled up on daily basis in District Legal Services Authorities in Bilaspur, Hamirpur , Kinnaur at Rampur and at Nahan in Sirmaur district.It also decided to open  new section of Irrigation and Public Health Department under Baggi Sub Division in the premises of Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital Nerchowk in Mandi district alongwith creating and filling up of  posts of various categories.The Cabinet gave its nod to fill up two vacant posts of Planning Officers on contract basis in Town and Country Planning Department.The Cabinet also appreciated the services of outgoing Chief Secretary B.K. Agarwal in the various capacities for the State Government, who has been appointed as Secretary, Lokpal to the Government of India and wished him the best of luck for the new posting.The Members of the Cabinet lauded his contributions for his valuable suggestions for framing the policies and programmes of the State Government for the benefit of the people and development of the State.
