BJP national President Amit Shah today addressed huge public meetings in Chamba, Bilaspur and Nahan today in favour of the BJP candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was also present with him.While addressing the public meeting in Chamba, Amit Shah maintained accountability of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development works and also mentioned development works done by the state government in the last one-and-a-half years. He said that Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Himachal Pradesh and he is engaged in speeding up the development engine of the state. The Modi government has given Himachal special status. Now the central government gives 90 percent of the money in Himachal's development and the state government has to cooperate only 10 percent. He said the state government has sent the DPRs of 58 National Highways to the Central Government and work will start soon on these roads.Amit Shah said that the Modi government has given one rank one pension, airport for Mandi, satellite center of PGI, expansion of railway line, connecting Himachal Pradesh with flying plan, toilet to every household, LPG cylinders to to millions of households under Ujjwala scheme.

During the public meeting at Bilaspur, the BJP National President called upon the people to ensure victory of BJP candidate Anurag Thakur with a huge margin. He praised the achievements of the state government along with effrorts of Anurag Thakur for his constituency. He said that the country needs a government to safeguard borders in which the UPA Government was not successful. Now when Modi government has taken strong action against Pakistan and terrorists, leaders of all opposition parties, including Rahul Gandhi are raising fingers.Later, addressing the rally in Nahan, he appealed the voters to support the BJP candidate from the Shimla parliamentary constituency Suresh Kashyap. Referring to various schemes of Modi government, he said that till date, people had never heard of a schemes like Ayushman India, under which the government is giving health insurance cover of rupees five lakh to more than half the population of the country.On this occasion Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur briefed about the development work of the Modi government and the state government and said that with Modi government again at the centre, Himachal Pradesh will get more assistance for development and welfare works
