A delegation of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers led by former Minister Sh. Sukhnandan Choudhary, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.The delegation expressed its gratitude to Governor for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, creating supernumerary posts for SSA teachers and linking SSA salary with the State Budget. The delegation apprised Governor about issues of undergraduate teachers who have been deprived of benefits under the 7th Pay Commission and requested for their early conversion to teacher grade 2 and regularization of those ReTs who have successfully completed their 5 year term.Governor assured appropriate consideration of the projected demands and urged the teaching fraternity to work devotedly towards imparting quality education.Sh. Choudhary also apprised Governor about the flood related problems in the areas of Kukeryan Kothe and Phalian Mandal in Jammu.Governor assured Sh. Choudhary that appropriate action will be taken in the matter.
