While Strongly condemning the killing of Javed Ahmad Wani, Sarpanch hailing from Kalantra Baramulla, CPI (M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has termed the incident ‘heinous and barbaric act’ which should be condemned by one and all. In a statement issued here, Tarigami has exhorted government to ensure that Panchayat members feel safe and secure given the increasing incidents of attacks on their lives. Terming such incidents inhuman and unfortunate, the CPI (M) leader said the society must come out and express itself against such brutal acts of violence. “Violence in all its manifestations is condemnable as violence begets violence.  These incidents of brutality are not acceptable to any civilized society,” he remarked.Expressing sympathies with the bereaved family, the CPI (M) leader has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Wani’s family.
