Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a massive rally on Tuesday at Dussehra Ground, while campaigning in favour of BJP candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Dr. Subhash Sharma. During the rally, Rajnath Singh targeted both the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party for betraying the people of Punjab.
Speaking at the rally, Sri Rajnath Singh said that like the entire country, there is a strong Modi wave in Punjab too. He said that due to the highly competent, efficient and strong leadership of PM Modi, the borders of Punjab and the country are completely safe.
“Today, India is at a position in the world, where all countries look at us with respect and our enemy countries do not dare to look towards our nation”, he asserted.Pointing towards Pakistan, Rajnath Singh said, “Do not worry, very soon PoK will also be brought back. Now, the situation is that our brothers and sisters in PoK themselves have started demanding to come together with India.”
Taking a dig at Pakistan, Rajnath Singh said, “If Pakistan cannot eliminate terror factories on its soil, then we are ready to provide help. Indian Army will not hesitate to take action against India’s enemies not only within its borders but also across the border if needed.” He assured everyone that India’s strength, prestige and economy are growing rapidly.
Underlining the need for India to emerge as a world power, Rajnath Singh said, “India’s defence exports were around Rs 600-800 crore in 2014 and today it has crossed Rs 31,000 crore. In the next five years, we expect it to take beyond Rs 50,000 crore”.
He also rejected the opposition’s allegations of alleged Chinese infiltration and said, “No country can occupy even an inch of our land.” He further said that if China tries to indulge in any kind of mischief, the Indian army is fully capable of giving a befitting reply.
The Defence Minister, while appealing to the people of Sri Anandpur Sahib to vote in favour of BJP candidate Dr. Subhash Sharma said that for the well-being of Punjab, it is very important for BJP to win. He said. “Punjabis have tried every party but all of them have betrayed the people of Punjab and hence the electorate must give a chance to Modi this time.”
Notably, huge enthusiasm was seen among the people during the rally. The entire pandal was echoing with slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’' and ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The unique thing about today’s rally was that a large number of people not only from urban but rural areas have come to listen to Rajnath Singh.
