His appointment for second term as State BJP chief was confirmed when party’s national vice-president Shanta Kumar recently stated that he would favour Satti as party president in the State. On Saturday, BJP will hold its State executive committee meeting at Shimla and issues pertaining to the party’s stand in the Budget Session of the Assembly will be discussed along with recent steps taken by the Virbhadra Singh Government reversing several decisions of the previous Government.BJP has recently completed its organisational election and several energetic and loyal party workers were awarded with crucial positions at block and district levels. “I believe in collective leadership of the party and I would try to take the party forward by successfully contesting the upcoming parliamentary polls,” said Satti, thanking the central leadership, especially Shanta Kumar for reposing faith in him.“We lost Assembly elections but that is not the end and I hope that the new team in the State is energetic and party will successfully contest the parliamentary elections,” he added.
