Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone today said that “Pro Indian political party also supports to save article 35A.Akbar Lone while taking to Press Trust of Kashmir said that inteligentia of the whole country including the people of the state know it well that Art.35-A and Article 370 of the Constitution of India is a reality which no power on earth can revoke .He reiterated that Art.35-A and Article 370 is the heart beat of the people of the state which cannot be compromised at any cost. He further added that Pro Indian people and parties are also in favors of 35a. He said that when pro Indian people support 35a it means if they are trying to do anything with 35a that may cast lot of lose in Kashmir. He added that Kashmir is a disputed issue and it’s not from 3 or 4 years its seen from 1953. He said Article 35-A is a Constitutional gaurantee to safeguard the hereditary state subject rights of the people of the state adding that such rights were there even before the India of today came into existence in 1947.He further told Press Trust of Kashmir that, “If there are no Articles 35A, then there is no accession (of Jammu and Kashmir to India). The Supreme Court had on August 6 adjourned hearing on a batch of pleas challenging the constitutional validity of Article 35A, saying its three-judge bench has been hearing the case and will consider whether it has to be referred to a larger bench.The apex court has listed the matter for hearing in the week commencing August 27.
