Chaiman Peoples Democratic Front and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Yaseen Monday called on  Governor N N Vohra and asked him to apprise the Center about the sentiments and emotions of the people of the state for upholding sanctity of Art.35-A.While deliberating  on the issue of Article 35-A, Hakeem Yaseen said that adjournment of the case against Article 35-A in Supreme Court has given a  timely relief to the panic stricken people of the state adding that need of the hour was to uphold sanctity of this law as per the aspirations of the people. He asked the Governor to apprise the Center about the emotional attachment of the people of the state with Article 35-A as any effort to tinker with it could put the whole country on fire.He said , in the capacity as  present administrative head of the state and the only  bridge between Center and the people of the state, onus lies on Governor to keep abreast the concerned authorities about the ground situation and sentiments of the people viza viz protection of Art.35-A."Under the present circumstances all eyes are towards Governor to bring the state out of prevailing uncertainty and un-rest," Hakeem Yaseen said adding that Governor should make good use of his long experience and knowledge about the socio-political affairs of the  state and set the things right.    Hakeem Yaseen said that Article 35-A has already been thrice upheld by the Supreme Court. “Protection of Article 35-A  is the matter of life and death for the people of the state,” Hakeem Yaseen said.
