National Conference MLA Mohammed Akbar Lone from Sonawari today said that when Mehbooba is saying if BJP tries to break PDP, more Yasin Malik and Syed Salahuddin may be formed but she forgets the difference between 1987 and today.Akbar Lone while taking to Press Trust of Kashmir said that, “I want to ask a Question to Mehbooba Mufti that is PDP able to compare with 1987?. She can’t camper herself with 1987 as that time people were in support of leaders. Who is supporting Mehbooba right now?”He added that how can she say that Syed Salahuddin and Yasin Malik would be create. Lone added that Mehbooba Mufti have not done any good work for people of Kashmir. “In Kashmir when her government breaks people celebrate”, he said adding that that people hate Mehbooba Mufti.Lone added that once Mehbooba said that they will not alliance with BJP then her father join hands with BJP.

He said that they have not done anything for Kashmir. He said she is threatening Central government with militancy if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) breaks up. He  said that it would not matter to Kashmiris if the PDP does break up. “Such statements are the outcome of her failure in handling the affairs of the State in impartial manner and thus denying the due share of development in JK, which was the core issue of the alliance partners, clearly mentioned in the agenda of alliance, moreover she created a sense of confusion and regional divide among the people,” he further said.He added that, “Here is no conducive situation to hold election right now”. Pertinently Mehbooba Mufti earlier on the sidelines of a state event organised to commemorate Martyr's Day said If Delhi tries to dismiss the voting rights of people like 1987, and if it tries to create divisions and interfere like that, then I think just like a Salahuddin and a Yasin Malik were born in 1987, there will be dangerous consequences. The statement was condemned by various parties.
