Jammu Kashmir Police Chief SP Vaid Thursday said that the solution of Kashmir issue lies in dialogue and not in gun.Vaid was answering to the queries of netizens in a live question-answer session on Twitter."I personally feel that the gun is not the solution. Everybody concerned including our neighbour (Pakistan), and only way out is to sit together and talk it out and sort it out and gun is not a solution and violence is not a solution", he said in response to a question who Kashmir issue could be resolved.This was police chief’s first live interaction on Twitter during which he faced some tough question from some of the netizens.in response to a question, the Director General of Police advised youth to stay away from encounter sites. “You can’t rush towards an encounter site as you are rushing towards a marriage ceremony,” he said adding that a bullet does not distinguish between a stone pelter and a militant.He said that it is painful to see anybody die. “It pains the most when somebody dies. Youth should not rush towards encounter sites.” When asked about Asifa rape and murder case, DGP said that police has no problem with CBI handling the case but added taht Jammu and kashmir police is as competent as CBI.Vaid that post Burhan Wani episode was his most challenging task to maintain law and order.On frequent internet blockade, Vaid said that he wants to ensure there should be least internet blockade. “We block internet sometimes to prevent mischief and rumour mongering,” he said adding that he is against the internet blockade.He also denied use of any chemical weapon in the encounters.On presence Islamic State DGP Vaid said that “My only wish is that they don’t come here”.
