With the Lok Sabha election coming nearer and massive wave sweeping the minds of Indians after the announcement of Narendra Modi as BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir are also coming forward to support and assure votes to BJP. This was witnessed during an interactive session of the BJP top leadership with the prominent Muslim organizations in Peer Mitha in Jammu district. The meet was organized by Muslim Intellectual Forum under Coordinator & Senior Journalist Sohail Qazmi and attended by Muslim Federation, Muslim Youth Front, Muslim Progressive Front etc.The heads of these organizations accorded very warm and rousing reception to BJP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, Party leader Farooq Khan, Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, Distt. President Rajesh Gupta.

Jugal Kishore Sharma, while expressing gratitude for such welcome, said that the BJP has equal respect for all the religions and communities as we believe in taking all together for the betterment of society and progress of the country. He assured that the party will continue to take forward the legacy of Atal Behari Vajpyee and after coming to power our main focus will be on taking care of minorities, particularly the Muslims.Ashok Khajuria said that his constituency is a very beautiful bouquet which has flowers of different fragrances and different colours. It is the real example of communal harmony and we need to maintain it as some political parties are again trying to create wedge to seek votes.     

Farooq Khan said that the Congress has been the direct beneficiary of the communal riots and policy of pide and rule the society on the basis of religion. The time has come when we all should get united to defeat and punish Congress. “Let’s all join hands to support Narendra Modi”, he appealed.Yudhvir Sethi, also appealed the Muslims to vote in favour of BJP so that their days of miseries are over as the BJP is committed to take result oriented steps for their development.  Rajesh Gupta, on this occasion, said that the Muslims in Jammu city have always displayed respect for other communities and never fell prey to the propaganda of Congress, which is indeed a matter of pride and satisfaction.Sohail Qazmi said that Muslims are important part and parcel of the Indian society and in Jammu and Kashmir our community although in majority but has always come forward to support the right thinking parties and leaders. We stand for strong nation and want to strengthen such party which assures of making the social fabric more strong.Zahoor Saab, Ravinder Raina, Farooq Salaria, Subash Gupta, Sajjad Sheikh, Karunesh Gupta, Khudam Ahmed, Sohail Mir, Vijay Mahajan, Ashiq Khan, Kuldeep Kandhari, Ashish Sareen, Rashid Ahmed and Ishant Gupta also spoke in the meeting.
