Minister of State for Forest, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Mir Zahoor Ahmad today directed the engineers of PWD(R&B) to accelerate the pace of progress on construction of various ongoing road projects sanctioned under NABARD in Pampore.The Minister said this while chairing a meeting convened to review the pace of progress of various projects sanctioned under NABARD and taking stock of the inner and link road projects taken up by the department in Pampore.Stressing that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide better road connectivity in all areas of the state, the Minister asked the concerned to conduct survey of the uncovered areas of Pampore that have not been provided road connectivity so far and prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) in this pursuit and submit the same to the concerned quarter for accord of necessary approval.The Minister further directed the concerned officers to use standardized material for construction of roads and use the funds judiciously. He asked them to work with utmost dedication and ensure improved road connectivity in the area.
