Chairman Legislative Council Haji Inayat Ali and Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly Nazir Ahmed Gurezi today attended the concluding session of the 6th CPA conference being held at Patna, Bihar.The conference concluded by hosting discussions on the topic ‘Separation of powers of legislature and judiciary’.The Conference was presided by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurezi speaking on behalf of the State spoke on the role legislature plays in sustainable growth of the state and asserted that legislature and judiciary act as two pillars of democracy. He laid emphasis on remaining restricted within the Parameters of constitution and said that each institution should function within their prescribed sphere and in respect of Article 120 & 121 of the constitution.He also extended invitation to delegates to visit Kashmir and experience the region and its hospitality. He hoped that visit of these delegates will help encourage people from other states to visit Jammu and Kashmir.
