The Government on Monday said that the vacancies of various officers in Kulgam district will be filled within the current month.Responding to a Calling Attention Notice by Abdul Majid Paddar, Minister for Horticulture Syed Basharat Bukhari said the concerned department have been asked to fill the vacant posts of officers, including Executive Engineers, PHE and Roads and Buildings in the current month.He further informed the house that the Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam is holding the charge of Programme Officer, ICDS Kulgam in addition to his own duties. He said similarly there are five ICDS Projects and one District Social Welfare Office sanctioned in District Kulgam and all these posts are filled up.Regarding the delay in posting of District Programme Officer, ICDS, he said the post is equivalent to the rank of Additional Secretary to Government and as such posting it is a prerogative of General Administration Department (GAD).
