Minister for Public works, Naeem Akhtar while intervening during the reply of legislator Naresh Kumar Gupta informed the House that the process for preparation of DPRs for Basohli Bhaderwah Doda road including tunnel at Chattergala and Singhpora-Vailoo tunnel is under process and would be finalized by the end of this year.Earlier, while replying to the question, Minister of State for Planning and Development, Ajay Nanda informed the House that the government has allocated Rs 42,668 crore under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) on 19 major road and tunnel projects in the state.He informed that the road/tunnel projects taken up under PMDP include NH-44, Jammu-Akhnoor Poonch NH, Srinagar-Shopian Qazigund NH and tunnels at Chenani Nashri, Zojilla, Lachulunga Pass and Taglang Pass.Ajay Nanda further informed that the projects that have been taken up under the package are at different stages of contracting and execution.Legislator Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo also raised supplementary question related to the main question.
