Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar meets stakeholders for town planning of Ransoo

Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar who is the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) today visited Pouni Tehsil and held meeting with stake holders to discuss town planning of Ransoo.He also visited Shiv Khori Shrine and inspected multifaceted facilities being provided to the tourists and visitors from base camp Ransoo to the main shrine.The DC was accompanied by ACR Harbans Lal, Executive Officer Om Parkash, Tehsildar Baru, DySP (Hq) Nikhil Gogna, Senior Town Planner, Executive Engineer R&B, PDD and PMGSY and other officers of district administration.The meeting also discussed major issues pertaining to the overall development of Shiv Khori Shrine and ongoing development activities at Ransoo and adjoining areas. The issues of equipping the shrine with more basic facilities were also discussed.A deputation of public met DC and raised the issues of power, water supply, road connectivity and delivery of health services. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers to resolve all the genuine issues on priority.

The deputation also apprised the DC that numerous problems are being faced by the local people since the day one construction activities have been strictly banned in the Ransoo areas. The deputation asked the DC to take appropriate action so that local residents do not suffer for want of genuine construction.DC assured the people that their issues would be given due priority and certainly a road map would be established to resolve the issue in due course of time.In the meeting, a deputation of SSKSB workers also called upon the Deputy Commissioner and raised the issue of raising the remuneration being paid to them by the Board. They also demanded permanent jobs for those who have more than ten year service.Deputy Commissioner assured the workers that majority of their issues have already been taken up while as other genuine demands would also be given due consideration. He emphasized them to work with full dedication and devote their services for this holy destination.

Later, accompanied by officers, the DC also visited in Government High School Ransoo where he donated 50 desks for students under the social scheme- Shiv Shakti School Assistance Scheme. This initiative was widely appreciated by the teachers, students and local people.
