While presiding over the State Revenue Nambardaar Welfare Association at Drang in Mandi district, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that Nambardaars play an important role and have lot of involvement in scrutiny of land records and revenue documents and verifying the same.He said that the government would certainly look into the demands of Nambardaars as the government had already increased their honorarium to Rs. 15000 per month on Punjab pattern.Revenue, Law and Health Minister Shri Kaul Singh Thakur also advocated for increase in honorarium of Nambardaars. He thanked the Chief Minister for increasing their honorarium in the Cabinet.President Nambardaar Association Shri Chunni Lal Thakur welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion. He thanked the Chief Minister  for increasing the honorarium of  Nambardaars on analogy of Punjab state. He also urged to make  scrutiny of revenue documents mandatory by  Nambardaars. He also urged for that the revenue collected by Nambardaars should be deposited in Tehsils rather than in Panchayats and the tehsil offices should convey the same to Panchayats.Vice-President Shri Ishwar Dass, General Secretary Shri Lekh Ram Chaudhary, also honoured the Chief Minister.
