Strongly condemning the state-sponsored terrorism on students, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah on Tuesday said educational institutions have been converted into slaughter houses and forces given a free hand to use excessive force on children. In a statement issued to KNS, Shah assured the student community that entire nation is on their back and expressed lament over the government's shameful action against students.“During last year's anti-India uprising, the so-called government used the whole state machinery to open schools and now by deploying forces in institutions are targetting the students,” he said.Shah asked the police personnel to introspect as to whatever they are doing is morally and ethically right. "The students whom you are targetting are our own children and you are snatching their future," he said.Shah said the resistance leadership is keenly observing the whole development and “we salute the pro-freedom spirit of our students and youth and are extremely satisfied over such development”.Shah strongly condemned the state wide arrests of leaders, activists, and youth saying nocturnal raids have become a norm here and forces have been given a free hand to unleash a reign of terror among people.Meanwhile, on the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a delegation comprising party's general secretary Moulana Abdullah Tari, Er Farooq Ahmad, and Molvi Bashir Ahmad visited Hayatpora, Chadoora and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of martyred Mujaahid Mohammad Younis Maqbool. Shah talked to father of martyr by phone and assured him that the blood of martyrs won't go waste. (KNS)
