Terming the use of excessive force on students as unacceptable, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday said New Delhi through such suppressive tactics cannot hold its forcible occupation of J&K.Supporting the protests carried out by college and university students across valley, Shah according to the statement issued to KNS condemned the teargas shelling on them which resulted in injuries to scores of students and said such measures will evoke serious repercussions.Shah said Kashmiri youth are killed under a well-thought-out plan and asked New Delhi to bear in mind that Kashmiri youth have awakened and it can no longer succeed in its designs. “Such awakening of youth is the sign of living nations,” he said.Terming the martyrdom of Sajad Hassan of Batamaloo as “thought provoking”, the DFP chairman said excessive use of force is being used against people demanding their just rights. He said on one hand, the occupational forces are committing grave human rights violations and on other side, same incidents are being shared on social media to scare the youth and cow down their pro-freedom spirit.Shah reiterated his appeal to world rights bodies to take notice of the “grave situation” in Kashmir where occupational forces are on killing spree.
