Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra’s election campaign today got major boost as Mr. Santosh Bhandari, Member Block Sammittee Gharuan and his supporter deserted Congress party and joined Shiromani Akali Dal in the presence of party President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, senior vice president Balwant Singh Ramoowalia and Prof. Chandumajra. It can be mentioned here that former minister Mr. Harnek Singh Gharuan has already joined the party last Tuesday besides announcing his full support to the party candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.Mr. Hardev Singh Dhanoa, member Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee played important role in motivating the tradition Congressmen Mr. Bhandari and his supporters to join Shiromani Akali Dal. Prominent amongst others who joined the party along with Mr. Bhandari includes Darbara Singh, former sarpanch Gharuan, Mr. Avtar Singh, member Panchayat Gharuan, Mr. Rajinder Singh, member Cooperative Society, Lambardar Sohan Singh, Lambardar Sukhwinder Singh Gharuan and Lambardar Sardara Singh.
Welcoming Mr. Bhandari and his supporters in the party folds, Mr. Badal said that the response SAD-BJP alliance was getting from the people of the state predicted that alliance was all set to register record victories on all the 13 Lok sabha seats. He said that alliance would contest these elections too on its development agenda. He said that there was no need to speak anything against Congress as every single child of the nation knew about the loot done by the leaders of this party and its coterie, whereas, on other hand Congress has nothing in its basket except negative publicity. Mr. Badal said that Congress would fail to mislead the voters this time as they were well aware of its misdeeds.Describing his decision of joining Shiromani Akali Dal as a contribution in reviving the country on the path of prosperity, Mr. Bhandari said that every congress worker of the country was feeling that his party has put the country in the vicious circle of inflation and crisis and made it difficult for him to face the people. He said that Prof. Chandumajra was already all set to register victory from Sri Anandpur Sahib and they would only ensure his historic victory.
