Replying to a question by Yashpual Kundal, Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora informed the House that the Srinagar Municipal Corporation privatized the hoardings in Srinagar city in 2006 and since then the corporation has earned revenue of Rs. 4.43 crore. He said the Jammu Municipal corporation has given the advertisement rights of hoardings to M/S Selvel Media Services Private Limited for advertising within municipal limits after charging the requisite license fee which has been to the tune of Rs. 255.02 crore during the last two years.Mr. Harsh Dev Singh raised supplementary to the question.
