Great composition and mature colour distribution make up the unique quality of an ongoing art exhibition that brings across art with an influence of surrealism. The group art exhibition titled, "Surrealist Humanity" is on at Open Palm Court, India Habitat Center here till March 11.Curated by Kishore Labar, it is an outstanding presentation showcasing three promising and accomplished artists -- Anitta Sethi, Deepali Roongta and Shashi Tripathi."This exhibition introduces excellent paintings from the trio of women artists joining the contemporary crusade of Indian art world," Labar told IANS.

"Though all of them started their artistic venture late, the passionate involvement and dedication added richness to the works way ahead the time they have experienced art," he said."The colour scheme make them outstanding among others," he added.According to the curator, Sethi's choice of earthy colours to suggest trueness rather than illusion, Tripathi's strong primary colours combined with rare shades and Roongta's love for nature reflecting through natural forms and bright candid colour scheme make them outstanding among others.

Although, the artists have had different life experiences, commonly they are all fascinated by human forms and use the same to express their artistic statements in their individual techniques.Sethi, being charmed by Renaissance period and inspired by the surrealist works of Salvador Dali, has been deeply mesmerized by human anatomy. "Art to me is part of being human and can be found through all aspects of our lives and can be subjective or objective based on personal preference," Sethi told IANS. "It was always my dream to learn contemporary art but due to my profession could not devote justified time to pursue my flair and passion," she added. However, human body is greatly fascinating to Tripathi as she conveys human emotions using the body parts in meaningful compositions. "Art connects me with myself and disconnects me with the chaos of life. Colours fill me with joy and positive energy," Tripathi told IANS. The third on the list, Roongta believes in communicating through art as she interprets various aspects of human life in expressive way.Hence, "Surrealist Humanity" is an exposition of humane ideas and compassionate presentation for the viewers.
