SAP Of Sugarcane Fixed At Rs 250 Per Quintal For 2012-13

The Punjab Government today fixed the State Agreed Price (SAP) of advanced, medium and late variety of Sugarcane at Rs 250, Rs 240 and Rs 235 per quintal respectively for the crushing season of 2012-13.A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of Sugarcane Control Board chaired by the Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal here at Chief Minister’s residence this evening. It may be recalled that the state government had already fixed the SAP of advanced, medium and late variety of Sugarcane at Rs.230, Rs.225 and Rs.220 per quintal for the crushing season of 2011-12.Prominent amongst others who were present in the meeting included Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr GS Babbehali, Financial Commissioner Development Mr GS Sandhu, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr SK Sandhu, Principal Secretary Finance Mr Satish Chandra, Financial Commissioner Co-operation Mr Viswajeet Khanna, Chairman Sugarfed Mr Sukhbir Singh Wahla, Director Agriculture Mr Mangal Singh Sandhu and Cane Commissioner Mr Ranjit Singh.
