Head of Punjab Dialogue and Chairman of Manifesto Committee of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kanwar Sandhu today ridiculed the manifesto released by Punjab Congress in New Delhi, which he said was nothing else but a bundle of lies and devoid of even iota of credibility.Sandhu said first of all Congress has prepared this manifesto while sitting in the air-conditioned and amidst the comfier environ or pleasurable drawing room, whereas AAP has gone to each & every section of society for preparing all its manifestos, be it of Dalits, youth, farmers or of industry & trade.Senior AAP leader and Candidate for Kharar assembly segment, Sandhu said interestingly Congress which claims to be a party of Punjab, but it has released its manifesto from New Delhi for Punjabis of state.Sandhu said that never in the history of Congress party, it has released such a bulky manifesto in any of the state election, however it seemed majority of the points Congress has taken from the four manifestos already released by AAP and it looks like more of a copy of it.
National Spokesman of the AAP, Raghav Chadha said that the people would not accept the Congress’ manifesto, which lacks any credibility and authenticity.“For instance, in the manifesto, Congress talks about giving jobs, pension and welfare schemes to the people of Punjab, however in 2002 when Captain Amarinder Singh became Chief Minister, he immediately after coming into power had put a blanket ban on new recruitment, pensions and on other welfare schemes”, Chadha said adding that so nobody can believe that Captain Amarinder and his party is serious about delivering the promises they have made in the manifesto, which looks like a bundle of lies.Chadha while giving another example on lack of credibility in Congress manifesto, said Congress has promised 60 lakh jobs in its manifesto, whereas total number of jobs even in the Central Government is nearly 50 lakh, which includes the biggest departments such as Railways and Armed Forces.
National Spokesman of AAP, while criticising the Congress for misleading people of India by making fake promises, said that in one of the promises, Congress has said that it would not carry Red Beacon atop their official vehicles, which has been clearly lifted from the AAP’s already implemented agenda in Delhi.“If Congress is so serious on implementing the agenda of not carrying Red Beacon on top of the vehicles of their political bosses, ministers and officials, they must show it in later and spirit and first of all party should tell Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and senior leaders to remove Red Beacon being used by them and Chief Ministers and the rest of Cabinet Ministers wherever Congress is in power to do so”, he added.Chadha said Congress is also lying on giving relief to the farmers, who are already under heavy debt, as it was during Captain Amarinder’s regime that many of the farmers committed suicides and Captain did nothing to relieve their pain.
