Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that Captain Amarinder Singh was pested of the office of the Chief Minister and the presidentship of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee due to his die hard habit of vendetta, making false claims and beating about the bush.Talking to the media persons at the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony of the Swaran Sudha Jain Charitable Hospital here today, the Chief Minister said that he has not ever seen such a big liar like Captain Amarinder Singh in his life who has not only eroded the credibility of Congress but also vitiated the political atmosphere of the state.  Mr. Badal said that the curfew was clamped across the state during the operation Bluestar and he entered Haryana from his village and was arrested after two days.  He categorically said that Amarinder Singh was never imprisoned even for a day for any public concern while the entire world knew that he was put in jail for several decades. 

The Chief Minister further said that Amarinder Singh remained the President and Chief Minister of the Congress party, which was responsible for the operation Bluestar and was still enjoying the position and status in the same party. He dared Amarinder Singh that why he didn’t issue such statement when he was holding the chair of the Chief Minister?  Mr. Badal said that he hardly see any reason to answer the queries of such liars who have already enormously harmed the state and its people.Speaking on the function of the inauguration of Jain Hospital, the Chief Minister called upon the voluntary organizations to come forward for welfare of the society. He said that the religious and other voluntary organizations could play a pro-active role in the core sectors of health and education besides making outstanding contribution in both these fields. Mr. Badal further said that this hospital would play a instrumental role in providing the best healthcare and diagnostic facilities to the people in the region.  He also announced a grant of Rs.10 lakh to the Jain Hospital. 

The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s firm commitment to ensure the best health care facilities to the people within their means and several initiatives have been taken in this direction.  Several laudatory steps have been taken to stamp out cancer from the state and many super specialty hospitals have been empanelled for the treatment of patients inflicted with the cancer and their entire expenditure on treatment would be borne by the state government.  He said that a state-of-the-art Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Institute was being established at Mullanpur near Chandigarh which would prove to be a milestone in the cancer treatment.

Badal said that nearly 200 medicines were being provided free of cost to the patients in the government hospitals so as to ensure hassle free healthcare facilities to the people.  He said that several revolutionary steps have been taken in the education sector which included a Dr. Hargobind Scholarship scheme for the poor and bright students.  The Chief Minister firmly said that he has ensured that all the religions should be equally respected and peace, communal harmony and amity must be maintained at all costs, due to all these reasons the World Bank has adjudged Punjab as the most favoured investment destination in the country.   

Later, the Chief Minister honoured the several workers of Congress party who joined the Shiromani Akali Dal at village Fatehpur Manian with a Siropa and welcomed them in the new party fold.Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion, included Special Principal Secretary to CM Mr. KJS Cheema, Deputy Commissioner Muktsar Mr. Paramjit Singh besides several SAD leaders including Mr. Tajinder Singh Midukhera, Mr. Avtar Singh Vanwala, Mr. Ranjodh Singh Lambi, Mr. Manjit Singh Lal Bai, Mr. Rakesh Jain, Mr. Kartar Singh, Mr. Vipin Jain, Mr. Parveen Jain and Mr. Dinesh Garg.
