Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday accused SAD-BJP and Congress of allowing Punjab water to flow to other state and demanded resignation of all the MPs and MLAs from Punjab of these parties.Addressing the media at Chandigarh AAP Punjab Convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich (Ghuggi), senior leader and Supreme Court lawyer, Harinder Singh Phoolka and Manifesto Committee head Kanwar Sandhu said that SAD-BJP and Congress leaders from Punjab played In the hands of anti-Punjab forces and ignored rights of Punjab on SYL issue. Now the fate of Punjabis is hanging in Supreme Court and the decision of SC can affect the farmers to zenith extent. In this situation, leaders of these parties have lost the right to represent people.Waraich said that AAP leaders will meet Hon’ble Governor of Punjab on Thursday and submit a memorandum on SYL issue. The leaders will appeal Hon’ble Governor to seek resignation of all MPs and MLAs for failing to protect the rights of state. 

Waraich accused Capt. Amrinder of inviting then Prime Minister Indra Gandhi to commence SYL construction work and now shedding crocodile tears to mint votes of people. In Same way Chief Minister Badal acquired land for SYL to please his friend and Haryana Chief Minister Devi LaL and got land for his hotel in return. Advocate Phoolka said that Badal has betrayed all Punjabis for the sake of family. He did not even think of discussing matter with Prime Minister Modi with whom his party shares power at centre. He said that in this kind of circumstances, daughter-in-law of Parkash Singh Badal, Harsimrat Badal carries no right to continue as a minister in anti-Punjab Modi government.Accusing Capt. Amrinder Singh of failing to raise the issue of Punjab, Phoolka asked why didn’t he resigned from post of chief minister when his own Congress party government at Centre sent the case to Supreme Court through Hon’ble President of India. He said that Captain has no right to even contest elections in Punjab.Kanwar Sandhu said that AAP after coming to the power will protect the rights of Punjabis. AAP will fight for the waters of Punjab in Supreme Court effectively. The most affected districts of Punjab due to water shortage will get compensation from the government.
