While appreciating the efforts of Punjab government for the development of industry in the state, Irrigation Minister Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon today said that very soon an Industrial Focal Point is coming up on 300-acre piece of land in Sahnewal constituency and all arrangements regarding this have been completed. Mr Dhillon said this while announcing the office bearers of Shiromani Akali Dal's Industrial Wing at Circuit House, here today.While speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said that with the coming up of Industrial Focal Point on 300-acre piece of land in Sahnewal constituency, entire state would benefit. He said that this focal point would not only help the industry, but would also generate employment for youth of the area. He said that the Punjab government is committed for the welfare of industry in the state and assured that all problems related to them would be resolved on priority basis.

He said that majority of the issues related to industrialists are already in the knowledge of Punjab government and if there are some other issues, he would bring them to the notice of government as well. He said that many of the issues which the industrialists brought to his notice have already been resolved, and the remaining would be resolved soon. He said that land for the setting up of an Exhibition Centre has been identified in Ludhiana and work on it would start soon. He thanked Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal for safeguarding the interests of industrialists, such as making electricity surplus, which is one of the primary factors for the industry.While announcing the Industrial Wing of Shiromani Akali Dal, he urged the office bearers and members to highlight the policies of Punjab government amongst masses.President of the Wing and Minister of State Mr Satish Dhanda informed that Councillor Mr Jagbir Singh Sokhi has been appointed the Zonal President of Industrial Wing of Shiromani Akali Dal and Mr Ramesh Kakkar as District President. Several other office bearers of the wing were also announced.
