The senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader from Delhi, S. Avtar Singh Hit here today assumed charge as the Chairman of Punjabi Bhaichara Talmel Council along with S. Harmanjit Singh as Senior Vice-Chairman in the presence of SAD Secretary General and Rajya Sabha MP S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.While interacting with the media-persons, S. Avtar Singh Hit profusely thanked the Punjab Chief Minister, S. Parkash Singh Badal and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal for reposing faith in his capabilities. He said that he would leave no stone unturned to come up to the expectations. Furthermore, he said that he would try to further propagate the rich and glorious cultural traditions of Punjab in order to ensure that the banner of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat is always aloft. He also said that he has always carried out with full devotion any responsibility the party has entrusted on him like a true soldier and would continue to do so.On the occasion, prominent leaders from Delhi unit of SAD and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) were also present.
