Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue and Rehabilitation and Public Relations Minister Punjab today said that Rahul should become the Party President for completely rooting out the Congress party from the country. Recalling the humiliating defeat of the Congress Party in the last Parliament Elections due to its bad policies, Mr. Majithia said that “it’s a God sent opportunity for the SAD-BJP alliance to ensure mammoth victory in the coming Vidhan Sabha Elections if Rahul Gandhi becomes the President of the Congress Party”.During a media interaction at Begowal after paying tributes to Sant Baba Prem Singh Muralewale on his death anniversary, Mr. Majithia said that it would be a matter of great delight for the entire country especially the Punjabis if Rahul Gandhi becomes the President of the dying Congress Party because only he could ensure the last rites of the party. He said that the Punjab Congress Presidents Capt Amarinder Singh and Partap Singh Bajwa have already commented enough time to time about his political ineptitude. With the frequent debacles of the Congress Party, this fact has been thoroughly proved also, he said.
Replying to a query on the joining of Priyanka Gandhi in active politics, Mr. Majithia said that both are one and the same thing if it comes to ensuring the finishing of Congress party. The Party has to face the music for trying to destroy Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat Referring to the Convenor AAM Admi Party and Chief Minister Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, he said that he had often misled the Punjabis on vital issues like River Waters. He is contradicting his own statements on these issues in Supreme Court and in the affidavit. Comparing his tactics with that of Natwar lal, Mr. Majithia said that there was no coordination between the speech and actions of Kejriwal.Pointing out at the former MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Mr. Majithia said that how a man with aristrocracy could could become AAM. He said that AAM admi Party is a bunch of power greedy people. He made a fervent appeal to peole to maintain peace at every cost in Punjab and not to be liured in the name of Sarbat Khalsa.
Appreciating the farsighted approach of the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Baal in making the state Power Surplus, Mr. Majithia said that Punjab was marching ahead on the path of continuous progress. Punjab has also brought many laurels in the production of Non Conventional energy.Earlier while addressing the mammoth gathering assembled to mark the death Anniversary of Sant Baba Prem Singh Muralewale, Mr. Majithia said that he had always inspired us to evolve United and developed Punjab. Appreciation the contribution of the Lubana Clan towards the Sikh Panth, he lauded the efforts of Bibi Jagir Kaur in carrying forward the legacy of Sant Baba Prem Singh ji.Addressing the gathering, Bibi Jagir Kaur explained the life of Sant Baba Prem Singh ji and appealed the Sangat to ensure the victory of SAD-BJP government keeping in view all round development in the state. She hoped that this time both women and youth would play a significant role in the victory of Shiromani Akali Dal.
