Strongly advocating the need for enlarging the boundaries of care, compassion and concern for ensuring  survival, growth and development of needy children, the Governor of Punjab, Haryana and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki called for joining hands to help in imparting education to poor and needy students.Expressing these views while presiding over the SAKSHARTA 2016, AN Literacy Campaign launched by Bharat Vikas Parishad,  here today, Prof. Solanki said that our children are assets and the future of our nation and it is our collective responsibility to identify poor and needy students  and develop their potential through well orchestrated child care programmes.The Governor said that today is International Family Day and India is known for its Family cultur, family traditions and family spirit. Therefore it was our collective responsibility to ensure that each children of poor families should also be given education.

 Giving Rupees five lakh to Bharat Vikas Parishad for the welfare of needy students Prof. Solanki honoured all those who were contributing regularly for this noble cause. He said if you want to create healthy society than youy have to pay back to society by extending all possible help for this Literacy project.Describing Bharat Vikas Parishad an Organisation of Intellectuals the Governor lauded the role of all members of Bharat Vikas Parishad for doing a very noble duty towards needy children.Prof. Solanki also distributed kits of required articles to students on the occasion.Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included, Mr Sanjay Tandon, President BJP, Chandigarh, Mr. K.L. Chouhan, Project Director, Mr. Ajay Dutta, National Secretary General, Mr. Sitaram Pareek and BVP Chandigarh President, Mr. H.R. Narang.
